CISM Competition

International Military Sports Council (CISM). Founded in 1948

CISM [1] fosters international peace and cooperation through sports, bringing together military athletes from over 140 countries to compete and build camaraderie on a global scale. The program represents the highest level of military athletic competitiveness, which often includes Olympians and World Champions. The United States has been a member since 1951 and provides an avenue for the United States to project a positive image with valuable military-to-military engagements through sport.
