CISM Competition

International Military Sports Council (CISM). Founded in 1948

CISM fosters international peace and cooperation through sports, bringing together military athletes from over 140 countries to compete and build camaraderie on a global scale. The program represents the highest level of military athletic competitiveness, which often includes Olympians and World Champions. The United States has been a member since 1951 and provides an avenue for the United States to project a positive image with valuable military-to-military engagements through sport.
