The first two years were quite interesting as we tried desperately to field a full side. On most game days, we had half the team as "newbies". One interesting note... while the vast majority of Arizona teams were sponsored by Michelob, we sought and obtained a great Lowenbrau sponsorship! They took great care of us. We never won a match the first year and had our most embarrassing loss to ASU (83-6 as I recall). I still resent that they never let up.
