86 Tour Brochure front page.jpg
The second Combined Services player financed tour consisted of more experienced players and were planning to improve on the 84 Tour results. To see individual and team photos, view selected pages from the 1986 England Tour Brochure Manager Pat O'Connor (Army) made all the pre-tour arrangements, right down to the last details, but due to a military commitment, did not make the tour. The Pre-tour training was complemented by USARFU assistant coach, George Betzler, giving us pointers, that were instrumental in a strong showing in the scrimmage with Washington RFC right before departure.

In January 25-26 the USNA hosted a National Military and Collegiate Coaching Clinic. Speakers were Mr A. P. (Bill) Freeman (NZ), George Betzler (Assist USA Eagles Coach), Ray Cornbill (Former USA Eagles coach), Herb Howell (Chairman, National Collegiate Committee)
