Started in 1972 by Sean Edris, USAF.  There was not a team patch as they had no uniforms.  Half the guys played in cutoff jeans and the other guys played in football pants without the pads. None of Chinese teams could speak English so Sean's fiance had to translate for game scheduling and referee calls.  "Those Taiwanese were some of the toughest sons-a-bitches I'd ever played against."

CCK Rugby Football Club

There was a team in Taiwan in 1961, 1963-67 and 1968-73, per Tim Connell. He mentioned Richard Juve and Mike Conner as being on the team as well.
