Portal:1989 Army Men/Intro

In the early Spring of this year the Stephenson 15 we to the Bahamas on tour and won the Plate. Bruce Carter got in a match and scored 3 tries, as did Tom Coburn, giving them a tie for scoring the most tries in the tournament for The President's XV.

(Coach Carter) We had a good crop of available players and, importantly, competition at key jerseys. We lost to Air Force in the final. That was the first of the dominating AF teams. My only consolation as a losing coach was that we were steamrolled, that one or two little things done differently could not possibly have mattered at all.
