Guam Rugby Football Club
The earliest games were in 1975 started by AF Tsgt Tim Connell and a British Air Corps contingent posted at Andersen AFB. The Guam RFC started in 1984 and was made up of CG, Navy and civilian players (hence the name 'Motleys). Interest re-started in 1986 when the CO of Marine Barracks fully supported the game and Lt A. P. Quintana's efforts to start a second team. The USS Niagra Falls also had a team that played when they were in port. Teams played visiting ships as well as each other until rotations caused dissolution in the late 80s. See Guam early clipping
