Played football under Joe Paterno, graduated from PSU with a BS in Education. Entered US Army in 1971. Stationed in Mannheim with the 509th Transportation Co and Frankfurt-an-Main with 92nd Transportation Co (Car). started playing rugby when stationed in Frankfurt. Received MS degree through University of Southern California overseas graduate program. Discharged on European out through "Project Transition". Became a Department of Army Civil. Returned to USA in 1976 and attended PSU graduate school. Received PA certification for a guidance counselor. Played rugby with PSU as a graduate student.
