Dennis Gill was elected Okinawa rugby union president which presided over the 7 Japanese teams and 3 US military Teams in Okinawa. The Wild West Show hosted an annual tournament in 79 & 80 at Kadena AB. And although we were never able to field a full team from Okinawa for the Military rugby tournament, we brought several players in 79 & 80.

Continued playing against the Japanese Air Defense Force Okinawa, the Japanese Ground Defense Force Okinawa, Koza City Old Boys, Camp Schwab, and made annual trips to Taiwan to play the Taipei Giants and Taiwan Orthopedic College, and an annual trip to Clark AB to play them.
