Team Logo and History
(Dave Aldridge dtaldridge@bellsouth.net) I played for Pensacola Navy while starting flight training back in 1970-71 and was on the team that went to Monterey. I played hooker and did most of their kicking. That year we also won the Liberty Bowl Rugby Tournament in Memphis and also placed 3rd (I’m pretty sure) at the Mardi Gras Tournament held in Hammond LA, just north of New Orleans. I have a number of photos of the team back then and also have a two-page photo essay on the team printed in the base newspaper called The Goshaw
